James Ensor (13 April 1860 - 19 November 1949) was a Flemish-Belgian painter and printmaker. James Ensor is considered an innovator in 19th century art. He significantly influenced Expressionism and Surrealism and various 20th century artists such as Paul Klee, Emil Nolde and Alfred Kubin.
