First Balkan War

8 October 1912

In the First Balkan War, which lasted from October 1912 to May 1913, the Balkan League (Serbia, Greece, Montenegro and Bulgaria) defeated the Ottoman Empire. The combined armies overcame the Ottoman armies, achieving rapid success. The Balkan states captured almost all remaining European territories of the Ottoman Empire an partitioned them among the allies.
