The horsemen of the Apocalypse, from the Tapestry of the Apocalypse, made for Louis I of Anjou from cartons (patterns) by Hennequin de Bruges.The tapestry was woven in Paris in the workshop of Nicolas Bataille, 1375-1380. 168 x 500 cm. (Revelations 9:17):"And thus I saw the horses in the vision, and them that sat on them, having breastplates of fire, and of jacinth, and brimstone."
