Charles Joseph Prince de Ligne (1735-1814), Russian and Austrian Fieldmarshal, member of the Masonic lodge L'Heureuse Rencontre in Brusseks and Master of the officers' lodge of the regiment de Ligne "Ligne Equitable" created in 1785; one of the gracious hosts of the Congress of Vienna (1814/1815). He wears the uniform of a Captain of the Imperial Bodyguard.
Portrait of Oliver Cromwell (1599-1658). Oliver Cromwell was was an English military leader and politician. After leading the overthrow of the British monarchy, he ruled England, Scotland, and Ireland as Lord Protector, from December 16, 1653 until his death, which is believed to have been by either malaria or poisoning. After his burial he was exhumed and hanged, drawn and quartered, which was the traditional punishment for treason in England. Canvas
